Well here it goes, my first product review post! I decided as I have started to accumulate quite a few followers through my Facebook fan page and Twitter page I would like to give something back! So I will be blogging about products I am using and products that I think work the best.
To start things off I have taken a snap shot of my dressing table with my current skincare and hair products, some are firm favourites and others are new that I am trying out. I think I was around age 14 when I first got the bug for skincare, since then I have worked on numerous counters within Selfridges, House of Fraser, John Lewis etc and i have tried and sold lots of various lotions and potions! I tend to regularly change too as there are so many products around I like to give them a go... So currently I am using...
1. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E (Smoothes Mark's and Tones Skin)
Now, I know most people have heard and used this product, It's the one I always seem to come back to, I find it extremely hydrating as I have dry skin, it sinks in easy. I love the smell and the hydration and smell lasts all day. I also much prefer the pump version of the bottle as the squeezy bottle is tuff to get the product out!
2. Arbonne Fc5 Nurturing Day Lotion with spf20 (with fresh kiwi cell extracts)
This has been my favourite day lotion for quite a while now, I have tried others since it and again come back to it. It smells divine to start with, and is just the right amount of moisture for the day as well as having that all important spf20 ( the higher the spf the better in my eyes). The product contains fresh cell extracts which are released when applied to your face, so you are getting all the goodness of the cells. Arbonne can only be bought online www.arbonneinternational.co.uk
3. Evian facial spray
A new buy which I am loving! Especially in the morning before makeup. It is basically a mist of water which helps to keep skin moisturised and hydrated throughout the day and can also be used as a makeup fix! It can be bought in travel size which is great for plane journeys, handbags for throughout the day to hydrate and refresh. I will definitly be buying one for my kit for makeup jobs and my brides. Big thumbs up from me! ( just had a quick spray! :-) )
4. Elemis Japanese Camellia oil blend
Another new buy, fantastic oil from Japan that can be used for nails, scalp, hair, skin and helps prevent stretch marks (apparently Victoria Beckham has used it through all her pregnancy's- was posted on twitter)
Still early days put so far loving this product.
5. No.7 Protect and Perfect Intense Beauty Serum
Don't think there is much new I can say about this one, I use it purely based on its great reviews for preventing wrinkles a couple of years back, I use it more at night as I feel when used to often it gives me the odd blemish. I also like the silky texture, it really glides onto the skin.
6. Bumble and bumble holding spray
Really great light weight hairspray, works best for scrunching the hair slightly into a relaxed wave or curl, or holding those wispy hairs in when styling hair up. I'm yet to try more products from Bumble and bumble, as I always hear good things about them.
7. Lipocils eyelash conditioning gel with liposomes (encourages lash growth)
I bought this off the plane when I was off on my jollies earlier this year. At first I was unsure about using it whilst away, in case I reacted to it as I can be sensitive, but we had so much rain whilst we were there I got bored and thought i would give it a go. It says to use it for 28days morning and night onto clean lashes and you will start to see growth. I used it for around 14 days and noticed a big difference in the length and thickness. It really filled out my bottom lashes especially and lengthened the top ones , even my friend noticed when we went for lunch! I was impressed by this product, I think the trick is to be consistent, putting it on now and again wont work.
Hope you enjoyed reading my 1st review :-) The rest of the products to be continued in next post....
