Lovely Thankyou from a Lovely bride!

Hi Jodie,

Where do I start?? A huge huge thank you for your amazing work right from the trial, hen party and through to the big day!
I have had compliments all week about how lovely my hair and makeup was, and how beautiful the 3 bridesmaids looked.

I'm so grateful for everything you did, and that you managed to get false eyelashes / eye liner on me as the difference was amazing!

I wont hesitate to recommend you to anyone I know looking for hair/makeup, and I'm sure i will be in touch again in the future myself when planning the next special event!

Wishing you all the best for the future,
Nichola

My hair & Makeup looks - New Hair colour

Thought I would post a pic of new hair colour. Loving the change from red to warm brown with bleached up ends

Bridal Looks -Textured Roll

The hair for this look is a more textured version of the roll I previously created for a shoot with photographer Lisa Aldersley. Loved the makeup for this look, the classic black eyeliner flicks, pale sparkly lid with some light shading and a hydrating Chanel balm feel lipstick, coco rouge.

Beautiful Thankyou from a Beautiful Bride!

Hi Jodie,

I've finally got some free time after the wedding and honeymoon rollercoaster/fairytale to sit and write my thanks and appreciation for working your hair and makeup magic on me and my Sisters!

You were part of the foundations of what was the best day I've ever had!  Your chilled out, relaxed nature helped make the whole getting ready process so enjoyable.  And you're just so nice!  And of top of that, your hairstyling and makeup skills were fabulous.  With not really knowing exactly what I wanted my hair and makeup to be like, I'm so so glad that I trusted your suggestions, experience and creativity and honestly Jodie, I felt a million dollars - I was well in danger of forming an ego!  But in all seriosness, to feel gorgeous on my wedding day was just the best feeling ever and my hair and makeup were a massive contributing factor, so thank you thank you!

If you can remember, would you be able to let me know what foundation you used on me - I should really invest in some proper makeup basics, so your recommendations would be much appreciated.

I'll be sure to recommend you to anyone and everyone (not that you need it with the sounds of how busy you have been).  All the best wishes for your married life and whatever your future holds,

Love from Gemma (Mrs Warburton!)

Coverage of a strawberry birth mark around the eye area

Today I covered a bridesmaids Birth mark for Louise's Wedding. Andrea was completely used to her birth mark and to begin with wasn't going to have it covered in anyway. However I think she decided to try the camouflage makeup out of interest to see how it looked. Andrea Also kindly offered to allow me to take a before and after picture.

OK, so the process of the coverage was very simple and quick to do. I firstly began with a green concealer ( Mine was from Dermacolour) I applied this using a nylon brush only to area of redness until the whole area was green. This neutralizes the redness and makes it easier to cover.

The next step was to take secret camouflage concealer from Laura Mercier and carefully apply over the green, softening the product with the warmth of your finger blending it into the skin until all the green is covered.

Now the birthmark was completely covered I then continued to apply the foundation and set with powder, being care full around the area of the birthmark, stippling the powder lightly in this area. I finished with a little YSL touche eclat!

I have attached the before and after pictures, I was really pleased with the results and so was Andrea! :)

Favourite buy this month - No7 BB cream

I'm very pleased with one of my latest purchases, I had heard of the new No7 BB cream. This is a all in one cream and I have listed below the key points...

- hydrates
- enriched with multivitamins
- Spf15 & 5* UVA
- hypo allergenic
- light/medium foundation coverage

What impressed me first of all was how lovely the texture is and how well it glides on the skin. I chose the shade Medium for dry/very dry skin and applied using my fingers. I like to go just a touch warmer then my natural skin tone so I don't feel pale and often wear false tans, so the colour was perfect! It has just the right amount of coverage for a day makeup base and only felt I needed a little concealer under my eyes to finish off my base.

The BB cream also comes in different shades and skin types so I will defiantly be adding some of these to my kit for those brides wanting the natural bare makeup look to there skin, that will still keep them looking flawless!
